Alexandria Setup and Procedures

Alexandria is the library management programs used by the campuses

It is not used by La Vista/La Sierra

Each campus has an individual web interface and each library tech has an account on their site that has management rights.

Each site has an administrator account with the same password. The password is stored in Dashlane.

Import of Student Data

Aeries Query

There is a script called AeriesStudents located on EC-APPS3. It runs at 5pm daily. The script queries the student information from Aeries and creates a CSV located in C:/Alexandria. This file is uploaded to Alexandria’s FTP site

Alexandria Import

Each instance of Alexandria has an import task that imports the student data from the file that was uploaded to Alexandria’s FTP site.

This task can be initiated manually.

Removal of Seniors

The library techs need to remove the seniors using the Alexandria tools

Reports

A Google account must be attached to the account to be used as the relay (sender) of the report. As of 2025, SHHS is the only site where the library tech has linked their account.

NOTE: if the user changes their password, they have to log into Alexandria and reauthenticate the email connection.
